Sexual Assault And Sport
My purpose is to see if male athletes are more prone to commit sexual assaults crimes and if they are than what factors contained by athletic environments promote, support, and close the eyes to this violent behavior. Some of the questions I would like to know are athletes more likely than nonathletes to engage in physically aggressive acts in everyday life outside sport. I would also like to know why athletes commit the acts and if the consequences are less then they would be for a nonathlete. I wanted to see if we just thinks athletes are commiting all this crimes since athletes are given mass media tendency to magnifying their crimes because sensationalism sells newspapers and magazines and improves television ratings. I wanted to see if the athlete are more prone to commit these violent crimes then what sports are among the most commonly accused.
